Privacy Statement

Love & Persson Group is conscious of the importance of maintaining the privacy of the personal information of our customers.  We shall not disclose any such information unless authorized by our clients, required by law to do so or required to do so in conducting negotiations with underwriters or insurers on behalf of our client. 

 

Why personal information is collected:

In order to provide you with exceptional service and correct information, we may be required to collect personal information.  The following provides some examples on why personal information is collected:

  • To establish methods of communication
  • Allow us to secure, negotiate and renew insurance coverage
  • Determine if changes are required to your current insurance coverage
  • Determine if additional coverage is required
  • Verify your information is accurate and up to date

We limit the personal information we collect and use to that which is necessary to fulfill the requested purpose. We will not collect, sell, distribute or use personal information for any other purposes without your further consent, as required by law or as authorized by Applicable Privacy Laws.

What personal information we collect:

Personal information is information that identifies you as an individual and applies specifically to you.  We may collect information from you or from third parties about you.  The following provides some examples of information that may be collected:

  • Basic information such as your name, address, telephone and fax numbers
  • E-mail address, birth date and marital status
  • Claims history
  • Credit Consent for the purposes of rate negotiation
  • Details about your property for the purpose of securing adequate insurance coverage
  • Driver’s license number and/or record (i.e. accidents, convictions)
  • Medical information such as any condition that may affect the operation of a motor vehicle

Who personal information may be disclosed to:

Further to the purposes identified in “why personal information is collected”, we are required to share your personal information with others in order to serve your needs. These other parties commonly include (but not limited to):

  • Insurance Companies
  • Professionals working with us, such as Adjusters or Lawyers
  • Financial Institutions. (i.e. the organization that carries your mortgage)
  • Credit Organizations (for the purpose of rate negotiation)
